Is it true that smoking can harm your chances of getting pregnant?
I know its bad to smoke altogether when pregnant, but what about before pregnancy? |

Its bad all the time!
Well I am totally against smoking, so i dont understand how women could even risk harming their baby.
This is what i have read, and I quote:
Smoking raises the levels of carbon monoxide in your bloodstream. This reduces the amount of oxygen available to your baby.
When you smoke, harmful chemicals reach your baby
Nicotine constricts the blood vessels on your side of the placenta, which means oxygen is passed over less effectively to the baby. |

Smoking most affects your baby in the first few days of pregnancy...
If you wait until you are pregnant before you give up it will be too late as you will not find out you're pregant until the most damage has already been done.
If you are having problems try this.

What sort of damage can it cause?
I dont really know how women can smoke before or during pregnancy.. I guess if its an unexpected birth then you dont really know when to stop - its the chance you take. |
